Valuing One Another

I long have daily read The Book of Awakening, finding treasures in your writing.

Today, this quote strikes me as one of the more beautiful quotes I’ve ever read, inviting me to write this post.

I suspect that we resonate or not with Mark’s words.

When I was a Type A woman rushing about, feeling stressed, I barely stopped to share presence with anyone. I felt much overwhelm, I had car accidents, living as a rather anxious person.

These days, I’ve slowed down. I have given up the race to accomplish everything right away, awake to moments that arise.

Overwhelm doesn’t overtake me. I’m available to my Self in new ways, allowing me to be present to others more often.

When we have become mindful, slowed life down and sunk into presence, we find Mark Nepo’s writings mattering more.

This leads me to say that valuing one another is a great path to travel.

When we value another, we are breathing into shared moments with them without caring about the time.

We are giving another space and time to express themselves.

Thank you to those on my path who gave me presence!

When you modeled presence to me, I noticed, and I have lived into a person who gives presence.
