This summer, I wrote a few letters at a time to women who gave me a send off from northeast Ohio when we moved to western North Carolina in 2007.
Yes.
My heart was ready to write heartfelt thank you letters to women I loved and moved away from 16 years after we moved and to call long-ago acquaintances to see what connections might be renewed.
These 2023 connections have been surprisingly wonderful, deep in some cases, and downright miraculous in others.
It causes me to believe in a timelessness of heart.
I’m pretty sure my newer way of connecting has a lot to do with who I’ve become.
I’m no longer rushing here and there, racing past people. I am breathing more deeply, adding pauses to everything, spending increasing time in quiet. I’ve released many things that were tied to time or other people to spend time allowing my soul’s understandings to take the lead.
Which fulfills me more than ever.
Grace. Connecting. Touching another’s heart is THE best way I know to spend time.
Quiet miracles arise when we add space to everything.
I suspect much of this is happening for me because I said YES to my partner Michael in 2018 and because I daily read to him from The Way of Mastery, a profound book published by the Shanti Christo Foundation which gives us the 35 Lessons Jeshua ben Joseph (Jesus) learned when he walked our planet as a human.
These five years have been an awesome journey of traveling together, living/loving together, buying a house together, and learning so much from one another, as well as ALLOWING one another to be who we are.
Allowing is an integral idea in The Way of Mastery.
I encourage you to write a letter, call a former friend, or connect in some way with another. You may be surprised what happens. Perhaps we’ve had enough isolation from the Covid years. Let’s connect as we’re able.
If you’d like more information on The Way of Mastery beyond looking it up, let me know.
